DESCRIPTION:



Under general direction, plans, organizes, directs and controls the daily operation of the Budget and Finance Department to safeguard and account for all assets and to maximize internal controls through internal audits, budgetary controls and procedures. Provides business support to operations' leadership.

•Plans, organizes and directs financial and accounting functions including tax activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, internal auditing, budgeting, receipts and disbursements, general journals, inventories, including metal statement, fixed assets, financial statements and cost reports and analysis, including partnership books.

•Provides historical data, estimates revenues for budget year and compiles and produces annual budget.

•Responsible for all accounting functions to include budget preparation, forecasts and projecting operating plans, capital budget, financial reports, and etc.

•Assists Management in budget presentations and other special projects.

•Oversees cash management.

•Plans and assigns work; reviews and evaluate performance of subordinate staff.

•Participate actively as a member of established teams within the operation and corporations.

•Responsible for sales and use tax as well as severance taxes reporting; as well as preparation of corporate tax package relating to operation.

•Provide leadership and direction to applicable site departments (e.g., GSC, IS, and/or Townsite).

•Work with financial personnel at FMA operations to develop improved accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and to develop improved techniques for analyzing business performance.

•Interact with internal and external auditors in facilitating the scheduling and conduct of audits. Coordinate the internal review and issuance of audit reports and the implementation of corrective actions.



•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related degree field.

•6-10 years of relevant experience of which 5 years were in a supervisory or leadership role.

•Knowledge and understanding in interpreting complex laws, rules, regulations, policies and guidelines.

•Ability establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with State, Federal, and other local officials, FMA management and subordinate staff.

•Strong interpersonal skills.

•Excellent oral and written communications skills.

•Proficient in Microsoft software (excel, word, PowerPoint, and etc).

•Knowledge of ERPs and Hyperion Enterprise or related consolidation software.

•Work is primarily performed in an office setting. Occasionally work will be performed in a mine or manufacturing plant or outdoor setting.

•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, talk, hear and see.

•Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday.

•Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in an outdoor or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required.
